I've even come to find that people at work will watch my lunch to make sure I'm not eating meat. It is very strange though; I agree. I'd never have expected people to be so offended by it.

Re: Private: 14 Links to Make You A More Intelligent Person

Wow! For me it's a distraction device more than anything. Mindless scrolling day after day. I am studying for a state exam, and FB is keeping me from completing the task at hand. Secondly, FB has replaced some real true relationships in my life. I have "friends" that think if they like a pic or post, they've contributed to the relationship. How sad. Perhaps I am to blame for this as well. I want to cultivate real relationships. Make real connections. Thirdly, I had an acquaintance from my earlier life that friended me; so I accepted. I then followed up with a private note, as I always do, asking how are you? etc. No response. Nada. WTF is that about? Clearly she wanted to scope me out to see what I was up to, or how I turned out. Could she be more rude and transparent? My irritation can be corrected by the touch of a button. I'm really considering it. Too many negatives with this site!

Re: Private: 14 Links to Make You A More Intelligent Person

I just stumpled through, thanks for the links, I'm going to bookmark some for later

cheers

Re: The Evolution of a Man and His Blog: A Goodbye and an Invitation

Ironically the reason most people are in a rut and can't seem to move forward is because life become overly complex as we age and mature. The best advice a life coach can give is to simplify things...pick out the things we love, stop doing the things we hate and move forward. Which is (was) the point of your blog.

My professional advice to you. Keep the great brand "thesimplerlife.net" and simply pivot the site to your life coaching endeavours. Its a great brand, which you have invested a significant amount of time and energy into and will likely exemplify your future advice.

Best of luck!
-c

Re: Private: What I’ve Learned From a Month of Being a Vegetarian

One big problem with food is it is hard to figure out fact from fiction. One this that is very important to mention is the fact that monocultured crops (plants that are farmed in large quantities surrounded by the same species) are far less sustainable than small scale or even permacultured crops. I am glad that so many people have found the diet that makes them feel good both physically and mentally and I am sorry for my next comment as it is usually hard for people to hear and/or to understand. It sas said to me by a teacher that I respect highly and actually changed how I thought (I was vegetarian ) . He said "both animals and plants cry when we kill them we just understand animals better." This came from a person who knew his food and hunted or gathered all of his food . Sometimes even roadkill. I am not trying to change anyones was of eating I just wanted to share that insight that made me look deeper into my idea about food.

Re: Private: What I’ve Learned From a Month of Being a Vegetarian

I am vegetarian since the day i came here on this Earth and I never fell ill. I am still vegetarian even though I am staying a land of fish and chips aka England. Eat whatever you want to but remember the mass production of animals takes more resources than mass production of plants does. This is basic law of Ecology. We've got two time modes. One is our own!) You're correct in the fact that we are trying to make something easy by making it easi-ER, which, by human time wheels is a collision of slow to fast, but not as fast as we want. Oh, boy. I just made that a little tougher.

Anyhoo. That's my take on it!!.

M. But if you continue reading what other people say and you think about what's said and you form your own opinions, you are in my opinion learning. And the more you learn and the more you strive to learn will inevitably increase your capacity to learn and will also increase your ability to reason.

Re: Private: Why I’m Deleting My Facebook Account

EXACTLY. Thank you.

Re: Private: 14 Links to Make You A More Intelligent Person

Youarenotsosmart.com deserves to be mentioned.

Re: Private: 14 Links to Make You A More Intelligent Person

Visit www.timerays.com and know what real intellect is.

Re: Private: 14 Links to Make You A More Intelligent Person

Yes, many of the Fora programs are behind their pay wall, but about 10,000 videos are not.

Re: Private: 14 Links to Make You A More Intelligent Person

This is a pay site.
